- Oversee all on-site aspects of electrical contracting projects from start to finish
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the on-site team, including electricians and subcontractors
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, expectations, and progress
- Provide training and mentorship to team members as needed.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment on-site
- Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure all installations and work performed adhere to company and industry standards.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Address and rectify any safety concerns or violations immediately.
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Facilitate coordination between different trades and subcontractors on-site.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status to the project manager.
- Document and report any incidents, accidents, or delays.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical contracting or construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Ability to work on construction sites, including standing, walking, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- This position primarily involves on-site work at construction locations.
- Frequent travel to and from job sites is required.
- Work hours may vary depending on project needs and deadlines.
