    Veterinary Technician - Emergency

    Description

    Neel Veterinary Hospital is now hiring for a full-time veterinary technician to join our emergency team

    We are searching for experienced ER veterinary technicians who are excited to learn, encourage a collaborative team-centered environment, and have the ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced climate.

    Here is What Your day May Consist of:
    • Triage-stat
    • Thinking, collaborating, and acting quickly with your team members to treat patients who need emergent care.
    • Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture.
    • Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral).
    • Assists with radiographic procedures.
    • Perform diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing.
    • Provide care and monitor hospitalized patients.
    • Client communication and education.
    • Admitting and discharging patients.
    Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:
    • Completion of a two-year or four-year American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited veterinary technology program is preferred.
    • Overnight availability is required.
    • Must have at least one year of veterinary care experience.
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
