    Buyer

    Las Vegas, NV (onsite)

    6+Month Contract

    Client is seeking a Procurement and Contract Specialist to join the team. This role involves sourcing materials, equipment, and services through the RFP process, ensuring timely acquisition with a focus on quality, cost, and availability. The Specialist will be responsible for managing the review of requirements, initiating requests for proposals, analyzing supplier proposals, and recommending contract awards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prioritize requisitions to ensure timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services
    • Review business unit scope documents and initiate requests for proposals (RFPs)
    • Utilize tendering software to manage bid events with suppliers
    • Analyze supplier proposals, conduct total cost modeling, and make recommendations for contract awards
    • Demonstrate knowledge of general contract terms, write contracts, and negotiate terms
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including reporting and accuracy for compliance and auditing
    • Work with business units and senior Procurement and Contract Specialists to resolve contractual or performance problems with suppliers
    • Participate in meetings with business units and stakeholders

    Requirements:

    • Demonstrated experience with Oracle purchasing and inventory systems
    • Ability to build strong business relationships and work with all levels of an organization
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in contract writing and negotiating
    • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
    • Basic PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
    • Comfortable working in a general office environment with no special physical demands
