Job Summary:
The Service Adviser reports directly to the Service Director, with additional responsibilities to work with service and warranty managers.
This role is vital to the success of this bustling, nationally-acclaimed and award-winning automotive dealership in Northern New Jersey, working with Ford and Lincoln vehicles, and Ford Trucks.
Job Accountabilities (include but are not limited to):
Overall
- Serve as liaison between customers and technicians
- Clearly communicate all vehicle symptoms as described by customer
- Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
- Provide a complete and accurate estimate of costs for labor and parts
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle and communicate with customers by providing updates and status throughout the day
- Process repair orders
- Review al completed work and charges to customers
- Followup with customers postservice when customers have questions and/or concerns
- Maintain required certifications and qualifications as per Ford Motor Company and Maplecrest Ford Lincoln.
- Attend service meetings and training sessions, including online and/or computerbased selfstudy courses.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission and Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, vendors and suppliers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
Requirements:
- Positive attitude, selfmotivated and eager to contribute
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and followup skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Solid computer skills
- Working knowledge of Excel and Google Docs
- Valid NJ state drivers' license
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Demonstrate an understanding that business is built on excellent customer satisfaction
- Selfmotivated to fulfill task
