Crownview Co-Occurring Institute/Thrive is looking for highly motivated full time
Medical Assistant for a fast-paced mental health/substance abuse treatment facility to assist the Nurse Practitioner with scheduling patients treatments, administering oral and injectable medications, invoicing treatments, collecting payments.

Sales experience a plus.


Pay:
$23.00-$26.00 hourly DOE


Hours:
Full time, Monday-Fri, Day Shift


Position Responsibilities

• Scribe and communicate pertinent information to/from providers
• Obtain medication authorizations and appeals
• Medication refills/requests with local pharmacy staff
• Administer oral and injectable medications
• Document all medication updates / changes in Electronic Health Records
• Attention to detail with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
• Excellent communication skills, positive customer service skills, strong time management skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Assists in other Administrative Department tasks / duties as necessary.
• Inventory management experience
• High level of professionalism
• Sales experience
• Data Entry, Excel, and POS skills (12 years)

Required Knowledge and Skills
2+ years in the medical field, Mental Health experience preferred

Experience in giving injections:

• Basic insurance knowledge is required
• Upbeat, positive and professional attitude
• Flexible to take on new responsibilities/tasks as they come
• Knowledge and desire to learn about insurance, Medication and prior authorizations.
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Electronic Health Record experience preferred
• Understand and comply with HIPAA and maintain professionalism at all times.
• CPR and First Aid Certification Required.
