***: As part of our continued growth, Audax Private Debt seeks an Associate to join our Private Debt Portfolio Reporting Team. The Team provides portfolio, operational, and financial reporting support to the Origination Debt investment, Investor Relations, and internal management teams. The position will liaise with the Investor Relations team to coordinate and manage both routine and ad hoc investor requests including portfolio and fund performance data that support the fundraising process. The role will lead processes and manage systems that promote efficient and effective data capture and analysis, requiring coordination with the investment team, other members of Finance, and IT.


The Associate will gain exposure to multiple aspects of private debt investing by working closely with the investment team, as well as finance team professionals and investor relations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


_ Process development and implementation_

  • Utilize current portfolio reporting systems and models to execute data extraction, aggregation and standardization
  • Assist in data consolidation and migration for system implementations
  • Facilitate new reporting requests that help to monitor the performance of the portfolio
  • Automate new and existing reports so that recurring requests can be completed timely and accurately
  • Collaborate with investment team to identify and define relevant data metrics
  • Execute operational improvements. Coordinate with finance, and IT to refine centralized databases and business intelligence processes to improve quality and control of data for reporting and analysis.

_Investor Relations due diligence_

  • Analyze investment performance and draft communications to prospective and existing limited partners in response to due diligence requests
  • Compile investment data to complete templates requested by investors
  • Support preparation of quarterly/annual investment updates and portfolio company writeups for communication to investors
  • Update investor presentation and fundraising materials

_Performance calculation and analysis_

  • Gross and net portfolio return attribution and comparative benchmark analysis
  • Update monthly return and performance metric files for internal and external reporting
  • Develop and convey executive level summaries and recommendations as needed
  • Prepare and execute weekly and monthly reporting packages

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related major
  • CPA and/or CFA a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience required; 45 years relevant professional experience preferred
  • Understanding of alternative investments and private debt, mezzanine/and or direct lending experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel user with experience with portfolio monitoring software (ilevel, Dynamo, Snowflake, Anaplan, BMS) a plus
  • Private BDC reporting experience a plus
  • Detailoriented selfstarter with an ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong desire to perform at a high level and grow within the organization




LOCATION:
New York, NY. 4 days/week in office. These in-office requirements may change based on the needs of the business.


For New York City only:
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting.

Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
