Warehouse Manager


STATUS:
Regular, Non
-Exempt, Full-Time M-F (occasional overtime and occasional Saturday work)

***: This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build kitchen work orders, and delivering product to the kitchen in a safe and efficient manner.


This position requires reporting to work at 6:00am ending at 2:00pm with regular overtime until all products are accurately selected, retuned to storage and/or delivered to the kitchen.

Overtime hours and working weekends and holidays maybe required in order to successfully fill or return kitchen orders to storage.

Job requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions, and on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, and Freezer).


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer
  • Operate Warehouse Management System Waste Management System unit to create labels; correctly place labels on product.
  • Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavyonlight, labels facing out, etc.).
  • Pack & Stack cooked to chill products on pallets, correctly placed ID labels on product to be staged in designated locations.
  • Safely operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product.
  • Stage pallets for storage or distribution to kitchen locations.
  • Shrinkwrap product on loading dock.
  • Cleans within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, Freezer and the Kitchen,
  • Follow Meals on Wheels preferred work methods at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Diligently follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by the Company and by Department of Aging and Adult Services and Public Health Department.
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, WMS unit and personal protective equipment. Perform pre and posttrip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment.
  • Attend all required company meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Basic Requirements:


  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English, as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
  • Must pass preemployment testing (Background Check and Physical Abilities Test)
  • Lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
  • At least 3 months warehouse experience
  • At least 3 months experience safely operating an electric pallet jack and forklift
  • Previous experience at Meals on Wheels San Francisco or in foodservice industry preferred

Employment offer is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and a pre-employment physical.

SALARY/HOURS/


BENEFITS:
$23 per hour.
This position is regular, full-time, non-exempt scheduled for 40 hours per week with occasional Saturdays. The shift for the position is from 6:00am to 2:00pm.
