- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and design objectives.
- Create original designs and integrate with Military groups for required specifications
- Creating detailed technical drawings, 2D/3D models, and specifications using Siemens NX and Teamcenter software.
- Participate in product design reviews and contribute ideas for design improvements.
- Conduct research to gather relevant technical data and information to support design decisions.
- Perform engineering calculations as needed.
- Development and testing of prototypes, documenting findings, and provide feedback.
- Design of both Automotive systems and tooling.
- Selection of appropriate materials and components for the design.
- Documentation and maintenance of design files and records.
- Feel comfortable with a dynamic and fast-paced, highly variable business.
- Work within an ISO and PPAP quality domain.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
- 2 to 3 years' experience post-graduation preferred.
- Knowledge of CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
- FEA experience specifically with Ansys a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering principles and design fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and creativity in design solutions.
- Understanding and practical experience with Automotive Electrical systems.
- Project experience in Motorsports, Defense, or Automotive fields is a plus.
- This role subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and as such, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or U.S. Person Status Required.
