Do you love technology and enjoy helping others learn and use all the latest gadgetry?Our digital services team has an opportunity for a tech-savvy and customer-focused individual.
Requires extensive interaction in assisting the public with all aspects of technology available at the library, including our digital media lab, The Studio.
Digital Services staff also provide occasional support to our Makerplace.Requirements & Skills
- A positive and friendly customer service attitude, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and customers in alignment with Our Culture and IDEA.
- Prepare and present public workshops for 1on1 and group instruction on technology topics
Education and Experience
High School Diploma required. 2-3 years college coursework preferred. 2-3 years customer services experience.
Hours and Scheduling
Part-time, average of 22 hours per week. Daytime, evening and required every other weekend shift rotation.
Salary & Benefits
$19.00 to $23.50/hour, depending on qualifications.
Benefits include two weeks of vacation plus sick and personal leave, 7 paid holidays as well as participation in Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension plan and availability of Roth/457 savings plan and other optional benefits such as pet insurance & identity theft protection.
