Position:
MFG Facilities Manager / Location: El Cajon / Shift: 1st


Scope:

A Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that buildings and their services meet the needs of the employees.

The duties of a facilities Manager typically handle any renovations, refurbishments, and office updates to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to rules and regulations.

Facilities Managers are also responsible for maintenance and upkeep of buildings to adhere to health and safety standards and legal requirements.

This may include managing budgets, and keeping expense records.


Coordinates in a project management environment of activities related to quotes from supplier, ensuring compliance with work scopes, quality of work, time frames, on work related to building improvements.

Works with finance on getting capital expense approvals


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Acts as liaison between business and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility.
  • Participates on emergency preparedness planning team.
  • Ensures that facilities are available for use and properly maintained in a safe and clean condition.
  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities.

Requires proficient knowledge of common maintenance trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical. Requires proficient facilities maintenance.

  • Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement budget.
  • Coordinate and complete facilities projects, internal and with outside vendors.
  • Communicate with the manager for direction, keep manager informed of facilities breakdowns and needs.
  • Perform established activities and identify new opportunities for improvement.

Be cognizant of Company's ISO QMS policy and procedures; their relevance and importance in daily activities and strive to continually contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.

Qualifications:


  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of workrelated experience and/or training

Technical experience background preferred (familiarity with process sheets, machine blueprints, sketches of parts, dimensional specifications, and operation requirements):

Ability to read electrical diagrams

Clear understanding, knowledge, and discipline of implementing LOTO procedures
:


  • Knowledge of methods, tools and practices used in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems required.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions required in performance of all duties
  • Basic mathematical skills, Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Must possess ability to follow instructions verbally or in writing, and perform all duties with minimum supervision
  • Will be required to work overtime as needed to support production requirements.
  • Must be a selfstarter and work under mínimal supervision.

Pay:
$90, $110,000.00 per year
