Pay Range:
$19.50/hr. to $21.00/hr.


Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Employment Programs, the Job Coach will train, supervise and oversee a group of adult Program Participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Job Coach instructs the Program Participants in work activities, and promotes vocational, social, physical and intellectual growth while ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed.

The Job Coach is responsible for ensuring that all Participants are up to speed on all proper training at the work site and for their position.

Expectations and duties of the Job Coach include but are not limited to, driving Participants to and from home and the worksite, working with and teaching participants how to properly perform the essential functions of their job and representing Anthesis professionally at all times.


Individuals must be able and willing to drive own personal vehicle to and from the job site and have the ability to stand for long periods of time.

Current work schedule depends upon work schedules of Program Participants.

Since the Job Coach will be using their own vehicle for transportation of Participants, reimbursement of miles will be compensated at the current IRS rate of $0.655 per mile.


The Job Coach will be required to document on electronic time sheets for themselves as well as time sheets related to participant payroll / program billing.

Documenting the work performance of program participants, maintaining supportive relationships, training, charting participant progress, setting good examples of rules and directives by displaying to program participants the proper techniques, habits and attitudes for work are all part of the Job Coach position.

Must also be able to take directions from the Onsite Plant Manager.

The enclave will work in a manufacturing setting performing hand assembly, light manufacturing, machine operations, performing function testing on all products prior to shipment and fabricating boxes for finished goods to be shipped.

This position requires an individual who has great work ethics, is, patient, proactive, able to take direction from the onsite facility manager and one who works well with others.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other Duties may be assigned.

  • Is responsible to ensure all job duties are performed inline with and in support of the mission of Anthesis.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of production records, including piece rates, input data into Intuition and any other information relating to employee pay or program service billing.
  • Attends required staff meetings and assists in discussion of offsite activities.
  • Responsible for the work performance of consumer workers assigned to the community employer location.
  • Responsible for maintaining a folder with consumer worker information at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining a transportation log when applicable.
  • Responsible for monthly consumer worker meetings and documentation of safety and rules of conduct of community employer location.
  • Responsible for any documentation related to offsite billing for work performed.
  • Coordinates production scheduling through written and/or oral instructions.
  • Maintains a supportive relationship, careful training, and correct job placement/assignments to enhance or improve consumer worker capabilities.
  • Sets a good example of rules and directives of community employer, displaying to consumer workers the proper techniques, habits, and attitudes for work.
  • Makes recommendations to program manager for any improvement to simplify or increase production.
  • Maintains quality production through continual inspection of consumers' work.
  • Maintains accurate, individualized accounting of consumer workers' attendance, working hours and production.
  • Sets up proper workstations and layouts when required. Simplifies work methods when possible and assists consumer workers to meet production schedules.
  • Determines needed materials, parts, tools, & equipment to complete jobs &keeps consumer workers supplied w/such.
  • Analyzes and corrects production problems and slowdowns. Controls waste of material and time. Deals effectively with problems which hinder employment such as defiant behavior, hygiene, grooming, low productivity.
  • Deals with consumer worker grievances or complaints in conjunction with program manager.
  • Assists in the compilation of data for the program evaluation system.
  • Responsible for accurate work performance records utilizing Case Contact Notes.
  • Aids program manager and case manager in developing and implementing Individual Habilitation Plan for each consumer.
  • Responsible for intervention in behavior management problems in compliance with Individual Habilitation Plans.
  • Responsible for charting consumer progress in consumer files.
  • Responsible for complying with the safety standards of the agency.
