    Description

    Job Title: Senior Data Engineer at bioMérieux

    We are in search of a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This position calls for a seasoned professional well-versed in automated data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, databases, and workflow engines.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives.
    • Lead the architecture and implementation of advanced cloud-based data engineering solutions, leveraging AWS technologies and best practices.
    • Manage and optimize data pipelines, ensuring timely and accurate data availability for analytics and machine learning applications.
    • Oversee the administration and performance tuning of databases and workflow engines.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, integrate systems, and implement data governance and security policies.
    • Mentor junior data engineers, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and data management.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, cloud services, and the medical device industry to drive innovation.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering.
    • Expertise in automated data pipelines, AWS cloud infrastructure, databases, and workflow engines.
    • Certifications in AWS and data engineering are preferred.
    • Experience with machine learning algorithms and data modeling techniques.
    • Proficiency in Python programming and software engineering principles.
    • Strong knowledge of database management, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
