Description

The Schwarz IT department is responsible for managing the entire digital infrastructure and all software solutions for companies within the Schwarz Group.

This includes selecting, providing, operating, and continuously developing IT infrastructures, platforms, and business applications.

In order to support the business processes of various departments with optimal IT solutions, Schwarz IT consults with these departments to understand their requirements and collaborates with them to develop professional and efficient IT solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as a liaison between the operating system (POS client), backend solutions, and adjacent departments such as development and application teams, utilizing your experience
Providing guidance to our architects, developers, and application managers on the effective operation of cash registers at Kaufland and Lidl
Assisting with planning, implementing, and documenting solutions in collaboration with other infrastructure teams
Receiving initial requests and supporting standardization and automation of services
Continuously developing optimization strategies for automated application deployment
Taking responsibility for topics related to the operation of POS systems, both locally and in the cloud

Your profile should include:

A degree in computer science, a vocational training as an IT specialist, or a comparable education or training
Experience working with opensource systems
Ideally, experience in building and operating cloud applications with Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman
Experience with containerization of Linux applications
Strong social and communication skills to contribute to a dynamic team
Enjoy working independently, taking responsibility, and being organized
