- Reviewing plans and specifications for construction sites.
- Documenting field activities, observations, and testing results.
- Utilizing Metafield or similar systems for data management.
- Calibrating equipment to industry standards.
- Conducting Special Inspection observations per the International Building Code (IBC).
- You have a high school diploma/GED
- You have 3-5 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
- You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
- You have the ability to complete data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device
- You have one or more active certification(s):
- American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
- NICET: Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils)
- International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
- DOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Density, Asphalt, and Concrete
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough and uneven terrain
- Standing up to 8 hours a day, up to 12 hours on occasion
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Maneuver field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground and around active construction sites
- Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
- Working outside of normal business hours when necessary

As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction projects. Your daily field testing and observations will guarantee compliance with industry standards and project specifications. From reviewing plans to documenting field activities, your contributions will be crucial in ensuring that structures are built correctly.
