Description

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Operations Research Analyst (GS T 13) to work at 28th TES on Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, FL.

Recruitment and/or Relocation Incentives may be available (depending on grade and experience)

All duties below are at the full performance GS-13.

In this position you will serve as a key analyst and recognized expert performing professional and scientific work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques for various weapons systems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative courses of action.

Obtain & maintain a TS-SCI security clearance.
A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, or one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closelyrelated scientific discipline is highly desired. 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subjectmatter courses requiring substantial competence in collegelevel mathematics or statistics. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). Employee must meet or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Employee is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements.
Knowledge of a broad range of weapons systems operations research analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities.

Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
