    Summary

    THIS POSITOIN IS LOCATED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, UNITED STATES COAST GUARD (USCG), ASSISTANT COMMANDANT FOR ACQUISITION (CG-9), DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITION PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CG-93), OL OPC RIO MOBILE AL

    Duties

    As a Program Analyst (Financial), you will be responsible for the evaluation and assessment of program operations. The incumbent ensures policies and procedures for accomplishment of strategic goals and operations are adhered to and provides advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of program issues that are essential to the direction and efficient operation of CG-93.

    Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

  • Analyzes and evaluates (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives and operating procedures.
  • Prepares life cycle cost analyses, cost benefit, or economic evaluations of current or projected programs.
  • Monitors the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds in assigned areas through continuing dialogue with program officials and their staff;
  • Evaluates and advises on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support and systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation.
