SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for preparing customer materials and all appropriate documentation for shipping.

Working in conjunction of the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, the Logistics Coordinator will direct shipping associates in daily activities and assist in maintaining all aspects of the departmental workflow processes, involved within the Shipping/Receiving Departments.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Execute and interpret the system generated Customer Due Date Report multiple times daily, to determine customers' due dates, verify items, quantity, and generate Pick Lists for customer
  • Secure appropriate trucking/hauling through Carrier Furnish shipping orders to inform carriers of descriptions, loading location, and product due dates, to meet customers' needs at an economical cost.
  • Proactively communicates issues, shortages, or problems to Management, Supervision, and Customer service associates.
  • Produce system generated and/or manual Bills of Lading for all outgoing shipments, misc. file keeping, and package/prepare customer samples and other items for UPS, FedEx, or U.S. Mail shipments.
  • Manage and communicate the Shipping/Receiving Dock Appointments and
  • Active participation on the Safety team and process improvement projects.
  • Full back‐up responsibility to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor during times of Absence and
  • Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicle equipment for occasional order pulling and truck loading/unloading.
  • Full proficiency is required within SPBCo's ENCORE System, specifically within the Shipping and Receiving modules, as well as responsible for training designated personnel within the ENCORE System.
  • Ensures proper housekeeping and organization of working areas.
  • Assist in any/all cycle counts or end of year inventory

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in business administration or Logistics preferred.
  • Required a minimum of 3 years of work experience in Customer Service or Shipping/Receiving related
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong Proficiency in all Microsoft and Outlook
  • Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Vehicle (Fork Lift).
