    Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence providing a comprehensive continuum of care. Our facilities include:

    • Frank Residences: Luxurious assisted living and memory care services.
    • Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center: Long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over 55.
    • Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation: Supporting our mission and community outreach.

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    As a Security Guard at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL), you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and security of our residents, visitors, staff, and property. SFCJL is a leading senior services and healthcare organization in Northern California, committed to providing exceptional care and social services to seniors for a fulfilling aging experience.

    Shift: Nights 11:30pm - 8:00am Wednesday through Sunday (Days Off: Monday & Tuesday)

    Hourly Rate: $21.38-$24.70 plus shift differential

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Monitor and authorize the entrance of employees, visitors, and other individuals to uphold premises' security.
    • Conduct patrols of the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living grounds and perimeter, vigilantly observing for any unusual activity or safety hazards, while also ensuring the security of doors and windows.
    • Regulate, monitor, and enforce access for vehicle and pedestrian traffic on SFCJL grounds at all times.
    • Promptly respond to door, elopement, and fire alarms, promptly investigating their cause and taking necessary actions.
    • Actively engage and assist in emergency situations, including contacting the appropriate emergency services.
    • Monitor the Security Operation Center, promptly responding to and dispatching responses to system alarms, alerts, and suspicious activities observed on cameras.
    • Address after-hours maintenance calls to assess required actions promptly.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and deliver high-quality customer service consistently.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Possession of a current and valid California Guard Card.
    • Three years of experience as a security guard.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of attentiveness and focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Physical capability to continuously patrol campus grounds.
    • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Ability to perform at a high level of attentiveness on multiple tasks concurrently and maintain control of assigned posts.

    ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
    • Capability to exert maximum muscle force for lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying.
    • Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles over extended periods without fatigue.
    • Capacity to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
    • Proficiency in bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, sitting, and reaching.
    • Fine motor skills.
    • Good visual and auditory acuity.
