Enhanced Security Specialist (Unarmed)

Green Knight Security is hiring BSIS-licensed Unarmed Security Officers to fill our Enhanced Security Specialist roles at multiple retail locations in the San Francisco Bay area.

About the role:

The Enhanced Security Specialist is responsible for creating a welcoming experience while ensuring a safe environment for the client and customers.

Enhanced Security Specialists (ESS) must display a professional/command presence, speak in a polite and professional manner, and greet customers with a friendly welcome.

As the point of contact for all safety and security issues, the Enhanced Security Specialist must leverage a thorough knowledge of the rules, policies, and procedures as it pertains to those at the client site.

ESS's will work with a partner at many sites.


Your responsibilities will be:

Monitor overall activity on the site to ensure a safe and secure environment.

High level of customer service is a must
Maintain strict compliance with the law and company policies concerning security, safety, or theft engagements.
Operate in a professional, business-centered environment where customer service, confidentiality, and integrity are held to a high standard
Assist EMS or other officials during emergency situations
Perform other related duties and special project functions as assigned

• 2 years of Military Police or Combat Arms MOS experience,
  or
• 4 years of Military experience,
  or
• Have obtained a POST Certificate,
  or
• 5 years of experience in Loss Prevention/Security; in a retail environment heavily skilled in deescalation and supervision.

Must have:

Possess a valid CA Guard Card.

Should have or be able to obtain a Baton permit, Taser permit and/or OC spray permit.

Professional experience in the areas of de-escalation and conflict management with tact and discretion and the ability to function in stressful situations.

Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills.
Dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm.
Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays.
