Job Summary:
At SEE our Area Managers are responsible for recruiting and developing all-star teams, ensuring Brand Standards are

upheld, ensuring operational excellence, and utilizing strategic planning to build and grow their businesses.

The Area Manager role will be based out of our Sarasota location and will oversee the Florida stores. This role does

require frequent travel to the locations within the state of Florida up to 75% travel.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • The Area Manager must drive sales and profitability through team development and managing controllable
expenses.

  • The Area Manager is responsible for upholding Operational Excellence in their locations. They must ensure
that their stores are maintained from an organizational, cleanliness, and visual standpoint as well as ensure

that due dates are met all the time.

  • The Area Manager is expected to coach & develop others and give feedback in the moment to impact
employee development, specifically the development of the Store Managers in their area.

  • The Area Manager should foster an environment of employee developmentencouraging team members to
seek Certification and/or Licensing where applicable.

  • The Area Manager must create and implement long term & shortterm development & growth strategies
for their team and ensure a succession plan is in place.

  • Area Managers are responsible for hosting weekly touch bases with the leaders in their area as well as
regular store visits to this location.

  • Area Manager is responsible for recruiting & networking. Area Managers should be aware of where top
active member of the community.

  • Area Managers should lead by example and be the exemplar in the business. Be solution focused and
candid with issues.

  • The Area Manager sets the tone for the store environment and is responsible for cultivating a positive work
environment. Area Manager should be a positive impact to team morale, motivate and inspire others, and

communicate with their team and peers in a respectful manner.

  • Area Managers will collaborate with Home Base and provide clear communication and direction from
Home Base to their locations.

  • It is essential that SEE Area Managers exhibit strong time management skills, working with urgency to
prioritize tasks in the store and ensuring the team has clear direction on down-time utilization and

prioritization of tasks.

  • Area Managers are responsible for proper payroll management. They must ensure that their stores are
scheduled for success and scheduled to the business needs. Manage payroll to ensure compliance with all

Store Scheduling Guidelines as well as Payroll Budget.


Requirements:


  • Area Managers are required to have open availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior Store Leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous Optical experience required.
  • Able to perform the basic daily job functions including mínimal physical activity, standing up to 8 hours,
lifting up to 30lbs.

  • Ability to comply with SEE dress code.

Skills:


  • Ability to utilize the SEE POS
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Retail Math and KPI's

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
