Join our team as a Youth Care Worker/Flight Escort As a Youth Care Worker/Flight Escort you will be responsible for providing personalized care and services to youth in care that upholds program policies and procedures following licensure, funder, and agency requirements.

This includes ensuring the client's rights to a safe, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate environment.

The Youth Care Worker/Flight Escort routinely assists in the transportation of clients for discharge and can also function as Youth Care Worker in the monitoring of clients as indicated by the client's service plan, which includes personal care, socialization, education, recreation, orientation, behavior management, and safety plans.

As part of the program team, the Youth Care Worker/Flight Escort is responsible for documentation of client behavior and incident reporting.

The Youth Care Worker/Flight Escort participates in quality activities through their active contribution in monthly shift meetings, departmental meetings, program meetings, and required ongoing training.


New hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus, which will be paid out in two installments.
The
Expertise We're Looking For

  • You have a High School diploma or GED
  • You have one (1) year experience ORR Shelter or working in the child welfare field working with adolescents in a social setting.
  • You are Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • You have valid Texas driver's license and car insurance.

  • You have a valid Texas driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

  • You can appropriately handle and maintain confidential information.
  • You can prioritize work responsibilities, handle multiple tasks, and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • You demonstrate knowledge and understanding of professional boundaries with children in care, staff, and volunteers.
What you
Deliver

  • You will provide quality care and supervision to clients following program philosophy, policies and procedures, and client rights.
  • You will provide a safe and secure escort to children in care needing transportation services.
  • You will communicate information about clients according to the program policies and procedures to ensure quality services and client safety.
  • You maintain accurate and ongoing documentation regarding daily client care, activities, events and changes in behaviors that occurred on duty, including but not limited to progress notes and incident reports within required timeframes.
  • You will assist in the development, oversight, or provision of activities for clients in care as approved by your supervisor for safety and licensure compliance.
  • You will maintain confidentiality and continue ongoing training compliance following state licensing, funder, agency, and program requirements.
  • You will perform duties of floater consisting of supporting shift leader throughout the shift.
  • You will participate in standbystaff rotation. The program requires Youth Care Workers to work additional hours past their shift or an extra shift from their regular scheduled workdays to ensure that the program fulfills core functions.
  • You will perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and a 24/7 operational environment. Flexibility in working hours and a commitment to being available during non-traditional hours is essential for this role.
