    Description

    Summary:

    Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Operations & Technology the Director of Operations will lead the management, support, and development of the plant manufacturing network.


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    developing a safe working culture, maintaining finished product quality, ensuring environmental compliance, and driving improvement in operational performance. This position must be willing to travel extensively to various locations throughout the United States.


    Responsibilities:


    Provide leadership throughout the company with respect to Green Plains' safety, quality, environmental, financial, and ethical policies and procedures leading the transformation to Green Plains 2.

    Direct plant operations by guiding plant managers assigned with the following key objectives at each location:
    Establish and maintain a culture of safety
    Facilitate transfer of best practices across the platform
    Be the driver of production plan execution
    Standardize process parameters and equipment across the network plants
    Develop and implement plans to maximize efficiencies and reduce cost
    Standardize organizational structure across network plants
    Facilitate communication across the Operations Team and across other corporate business support functions
    Inspect facilities during site visits and generate action item reports for follow-up
    Troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of process issues across the plant network
    Coordinate maintenance planning and predictive and preventative maintenance programs
    Monitor plant SOPs and training programs to ensure they are at a high level
    Support the development of data analysis and analytics across operations and create a data-driven organization
    Develop team members' skillsets with respect to technical know-how and managerial skills


    Qualifications:
    Must be a driven individual who is self-motivated to perform at a high level
    Ability to work well with others across disciplines in a collaborative environment
    Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Suite
    Bachelors degree in Engineering or other technical discipline is required
    At least 10 years of corn processing plant management experience preferred
    Experience with multiple plant facility management preferred
    Requires a valid driver's license.
