Clinical Supervisor at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice

Description:
The Clinical Supervisor role at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice involves providing clinical oversight and supervision of daily hospice patient care activities to ensure high-quality care for patients and their families. Join our team and make a real difference in people's lives!

What you will Do:

Conduct workflow tasks in the Electronic Medical Record efficiently to support the Clinical Manager and ensure seamless care provision.
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assist with daily workflow and clinical oversight in collaboration with the clinical manager.
Facilitate referrals and ensure appropriate services are provided to patients under an interdisciplinary plan of care.
Monitor documentation from the team, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to policies and procedures.
Serve as a valuable resource to nurses and hospice aides, conducting supervisory visits and offering support.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services for optimal patient care.

Hours/Schedule:
Full-Time position with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, with administrative call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active Iowa RN license required
BSN or bachelor's degree in health administration preferred
Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification desired
Previous experience in caring for terminally ill patients necessary
Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required
Experience in Hospice or Home Health is an advantage
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel when necessary
