Description

As a machine and plant operator at Tradesville, you will operate complex high-tech production equipment and demonstrate your skills on a daily basis.

You are responsible for setting up, commissioning, and operating manufacturing machines. In the event of machine downtime, you respond quickly and effectively with technical expertise, minimizing downtime. Additionally, you perform maintenance on a variety of different machines at regular intervals. This may include tasks such as refilling oils or coolants, and replacing worn parts like seals, filters, or hoses.

Repairing, setting up, and operating the equipment requires technical aptitude and concentration. You enjoy working in a team and thrive on new challenges. You are flexible, excel in subjects like math and physics, and remain calm under pressure. If this sounds like you, consider starting an apprenticeship as a machine and plant operator.

After successfully completing the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity for a third year of training to become a packaging technologist.
