We are hiring—multiple roles/shifts:

We seek people interested in retail wine, craft beer and spirits, who have a desire to work & learn, with an uncanny attention to details, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY someone who is excited to work with our nice team of people who work as a team at our well-established but still growing store

We have part-time and full-time hours available in different shift schedules and roles including mornings, evenings, and weekends, cashiers, receiving/stocking, and working with customers.

You get to have a set schedule every week tailored to your needs and ours, but we might also need you to pick up shifts when others need time off.

And of course, summer, pre and post holidays are busy days at the store with all hands on deck.

Currently needed shifts:

• Openers/Receivers: All days but especially major delivery days Tues/Thur/Fri (8am4pm)
• Swing shifts: (9/10/11am 4/5/6pm)
• Closers: All days (127/8pm)

Currently needed roles:
We need these roles: stocking wine; cashier shifts, closers.


Most staff perform all roles:
running the register, receiving & unpacking deliveries, stocking shelves, cleaning, and taking customer requests/special orders.


Applicant Must-Haves:

• Some morning and/or evening/closing, and weekend availability.
• Strong hospitality, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for the majority of shift.

The Job:

You are a team player, naturally friendly and enjoy being around and talking to lots of different people with different needs, have a strong desire to learn more, are comfortable on the phone, and are genuinely enthusiastic.

You may enjoy sampling a range of our products so you can best serve our customers. You are physically capable of working for periods of time on your feet & have the ability to lift a case of wine (about 30-50 pounds), and even though we do have a slower season, even then we can get slammed with a line so you need to handle retail rushes with confidence and precision while maintaining a friendly and "interested in helping" attitude


The Shop:

Oak Hill Beverage is a single location, independent, family run, high volume, customer service focused store with greater Portland's best selection of wine, craft beer, and spirits.

We feature 2500+ wines, 999+ beer labels, and 1,500+ spirits labels The shop is a busy place with amazing loyal year-round customers as well as summer residents and tourists.

The owner is passionate about the culture and craft of fine wine, beer and spirits and works in the store nearly every day, can be seen carrying out orders, cleaning, and helping customers.

Our team consists of a handful of exceptionally dedicated and hardworking folks who don't mind wearing more than a few hats and stepping in to help out wherever needed.

These positions report to the store manager.


Store Open Hours:
Sun 11-5, M 12-7, T-Th 9-7, Fr/Sat 9-8
