Job Overview:
This is temporary position, 8-12 weeks to help in our Air Export department, you MUST have Cargo wise experience and knowledge in Air Export


Responsibilities:


Opening Export files
All correspondences, relevant to a specific job file, must be kept in the job file at all times.


  • Perform credit check on all files according to OTX credit control policy and escalate irregularities where
appropriate.


  • Send DRAFT BOL to agent and customers for approval.
  • Ensure OTX quote is on file including Cost and Sell rate to client.
  • Ensure all filing, both physical and electronic, is done regularly, tidily and accurately.
  • Send Pre-alerts on a timely manner-Air -Day before Uplift, Ocean
  • 2 days after departure.
  • All actions must be recorded on the job files.
  • Monitor requests and issues-including confirmation of receipt of departure notices, invoices, and etc.
  • All quotes must be sent using OTX Quote sheets via PDF format.
  • Must be answered within the same working day.
  • All communications via telephone, e mail, Facsimile etc. are to be handle in a professional manner, as
this reflects our company (we are here to build close and strong relationships with all our Customers,


Handling Procedure of File

  • Updating export statuses to overseas agent and customers upon departure (Same day of departure).
  • Making sure originals are courier out.
  • Resolve issues for customers independently.
  • Ensure arrival at destination and complete delivery with POD.

Arranging Pick ups

  • Requesting competitive pick up rates.
  • Maintain quotes and communication from carrier/vendor.
  • Update pick up schedules accordingly to all parties involved.

Processing invoices (including price conversions and verifying shipment weight and volume)

  • Maximize profitability on all files handled as well as to be cost conscious at all times.
  • Make sure all cost and sell rates are updated and entered in system.
  • Invoice must be completed and issued to customer within 5 days of departure.
  • Ensure all areas of Finance (Vendor Invoices & Client Invoices) are addressed and resolved as soon as
possible.

Pay:
$23.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
