    Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking an IT Application Architect V

    Location: Jersey City, NJ
    Position Type: Contract

    Job Summary:

    UX/UI Designer in the NLP, Modeling & Analytics team, focusing on both User Interface Design (what's on each page/screen of a design) and User Experience (The experience for the entire application as a whole). With a focus on user-centric products; contributes to the design's information architecture, builds the navigation, the overall interaction model, and how the user accomplishes their overall goals. Has the skillset to zoom into the screen resolution when thats whats required, then zoom back out to the application resolution to work on the bigger picture.

    Employs multiple research and user testing tools to create a continuous feedback loop with the users, focusing on behaviour and underlying needs, on outcome over features. Helps specify the overall flow and feel of the design, while getting into the specifics of every interaction, taking the application from observation, to ideation, to sketching, to low-fidelity (lo-fi) prototypes, to hi-fi prototypes, to preliminary front-end code that demonstrates designs intentions. All while constantly checking in with users to validate key decisions. Degree in UX/UI/Graphic/Web design or a related field preferred or substantial equivalent experience.

    Required Skills:
    • An Understanding of Human-Cantered Design.
    • Knowledge of Prototyping tools. The tool doesn't really matter (Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Invision, etc..) we are mostly looking for someone comfortable creating layouts/compositions.
    • Understanding of Graphic Design Fundamentals (Colour theory, Typography, Layouts, Composition).

    Desired Skills:
    • Write HTML/CSS.
    • Experience working with Design Systems.
    • Experience with UX Research Methodologies and testing tools (Quantitative/Qualitative).
    • Experience working with raster tools (Photoshop).
    • Experience doing Accessibility audits.
    • This role is critical to support Enterprise Credit initiatives as we expand the platform and develop new features/functions.
