Environmental Systems Company is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an AutoCAD Technician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of security and fire systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Using AutoCAD software to prepare technical drawings included but not limited to Submittal Packages, Site Plans, Typical Drawings and Risers Diagrams
  • Work primarily with Security, Fire Alarm, and Audio/Visual departments
  • Working with Project Managers and other team members to produce drawings that meet their specifications
  • Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
  • Ordering and tracking all equipment for projects under the supervision of the Project Managers
  • Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
  • Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
  • Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available

Qualifications:


  • Experience with AutoCAD is required, to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently
  • Time management skills to work with multiple projects and completing deadlines
  • Ability to analyze marked up site plans and specifications to create technical drawings such as risers, typical drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail is a must to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
  • Communication and integration with Sales and Operations teams will be needed to be successful in this position
  • Knowledge of electronic systems such as Access Control, Video Surveillance, PA Systems, or other A/V systems is beneficial but not required
