- Contribute to project work by completing technical assignments as a member of a multi-disciplined team
- Performing air quality and noise evaluations and tasks that may include:
- Preparation of quantitative air quality emission estimates and potential-to-emit calculations
- Coordination of emission source testing/exhaust sampling
- Conducting research in support of Best Achievable Control Technology (BACT) analyses
- Preparation and execution of refined air dispersion modeling (e.g., AERMOD)
- Conducting field work related to noise monitoring
- Noise modeling of industrial and traffic sources, including noise mitigation assessment
- Reviewing local, state, and federal regulations that apply to a wide variety of industrial source groups to assess applicability and compliance.
- Interfacing with clients, regulators, and colleagues on a project-specific basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, or related field. A Master's degree in one of these fields is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 2+ years of experience conducting air quality dispersion or noise modeling would be ideal.
- Experience characterizing air pollutant emissions sources.
- Experience with Python, "R" software, and Linux is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
