Lifeguard 2024 Summer Season:
Pay rate starting at $20.00 with an end of season bonus. This position would give the right individual an opportunity to work with a diverse population. Individual must be mature, responsible, and self-motivated.

Algonquin Heights is a family residential complex in Plymouth and is seeking to hire certified Lifeguards for the upcoming pool season from June 26, 2024, through approximately August 23, 2024.

Monday thru Friday (9:00 am to 4:45 pm). No nights or weekends.

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age by June 15, 2024 and be committed to complete the season until August 23, 2024.

Qualifications:

• Lifeguard certification required
• First Aid AED/CPR MA State required certifications

Duties:

• Chemical testing and vacuuming of pool floors and walls, maintaining sanitary water conditions
• Scans the area of surveillance to make sure that residents and guests are safe and behaving according to the rules.
• Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue and first aid assistance until medical personnel arrive.
• Enforces rules consistently and fairly.
• Fills out reports for incidents or other records for reference.
• Actively maintains swim level records of all youth to be eligible for the deep end.
• Maintains familiarity with established program policies and procedures.
• Secure ALL pool doors at the end of your shift

Responsibilities:

• Performs job adequately which requires swimming endurance and strength.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Interacts professionally with residents, lifeguards, pool attendant, and Algonquin staff and acts as a role model.

Training provided. You just need to possess a passion for water safety and have a friendly disposition.

Pay rate starting at $20.00/per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour bonus for each hour completed at the completion of the entire season with supervisors' recommendation.

This is a seasonal part time position that is not eligible for benefits.
