Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing prenatal/preconception, pediatric and cancer genetic counseling including collecting and interpreting family and medical histories and assessing the chance of disease occurrence or recurrence.
  • Also responsible for providing education to patients about genetics, inheritance patterns, natural history of condition(s) in question, genetic testing, and options for management and prevention.
  • There is opportunity for student supervision/training as well as education of genetic counseling students, residents, nurses, physicians, other healthcare providers and the general public.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counseling accredited program is required.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American College of Medical Genetics. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Progeny and Computer Based Risk Assessment Models required. Spanish speaking preferred.

USD $ USD $52.

50 /Hr:
