Job Summary:
This leadership role involves managing a team of data scientists, guiding the development of machine learning models, and overseeing the deployment and maintenance of data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data science strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists, fostering professional growth and development.
- Oversee the ideation, development, testing, and execution of Proof of Concept (POC) Machine Learning (ML) models to tackle business challenges.
- Synthesize model outputs and test results, delivering insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Utilize proficiency in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Data IKU to enhance model development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to discover actionable insights and identify innovative opportunities.
- Create robust statistical models for predictive analytics and develop scalable, efficient, and effective machine learning algorithms.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Data Engineers, Software Developers, and Business Analysts, to promote datadriven decisionmaking.
- Communicate complex findings and technical concepts clearly and effectively to a diverse audience.
- Develop automated decisionmaking models and scoring engines that accurately process business data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 57 years of proven experience in data science, particularly in developing and implementing ML models in a production environment.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with experience in managing and mentoring data scientists.
- Proficiency with Databricks and AWS services;
certifications in Databricks and AWS preferred
- Significant experience and deep understanding of Data IKU for model development, deployment, and maintenance; Data IKU certification highly desirable.
- Extensive skills in exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning algorithm development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problemsolving and critical thinking capabilities, with a history of providing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Experience with decision automation and development of scoring engines is a plus.
