_Group Leader for After School & Summer Program_SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety and engagement of children in assigned activities
- Assist in all activities to ensure the orderly operation of the program
- Attend and supervise children during special projects and field trips, including those which occur outside of regular program hours
- Complete 15 hours of professional development each calendar year
- Demonstrate key competencies including initiative, teamwork, cooperation, and preparedness.

- Adhere to all Harriman After School Programs policies, practices, and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Competency in youth development and child care
- Highly motivated and organized
- Exceptional group management, problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team within a school community
- Ability to communicate and work effectively and respectfully with a broad range of diverse people
- Enjoy working with children, positive attitude, ability to motivate and guide children/youth
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

optional at this time but the COVID policies of the program must be followed.

Pay:
$17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
