    Role Overview:

    Our Project Engineers help oversee the financial success of the building process, working in partnership with Architects, Engineers, and Owners to support the development of the plans. They assist with identifying and planning all the moving parts, and are responsible for ensuring the project is completed on budget and within scope.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Works with Project Manager to ensure good decisions for the company and project during the buyout process
    • Addresses schedule in Subcontractor Scope
    • Fully reviews drawings & specifications in preparation of subcontractor scope
    • Maintains & assists PM with preparation of Weekly Project Update accurately and on time
    • Identifies lead times for materials purchases and tracks fabrication/ ROJ dates
    • Maintains and updates Submittal Log, Subcontractor Change Order Log, Lost Day Log, RFI Log, and Deficiency Log, and field iPad systems
    • Generates subcontractor meeting agendas and minutes and participates in OAC meetings
    • Maintains project document list
    • Actively assists project superintendent with enforcement of site safety
    • Can identify quality issues in the field and communicate them accordingly
    • Performs pre-punch list walk thru with PM and Superintendent and enforces contract close-out timeline and notifies subcontractors

    Skills & Qualification:

    • Four (4) year degree from an accredited university or college in related field of construction
    • Refined organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects
    • Strong communication skills including listening, presenting, interpersonal and written
    • Advanced mathematic and reasoning ability, and strong negotiating skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project), and experience with (or ability to learn) Procore, office equipment and Internet Explorer or other similar Internet tools and experience

    Compensation:

    In addition to offering a competitive base salary, Catamount employees are eligible for additional incentives for merit/performance, project incentives, new hire referrals, and business development commissions.
