- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of competencies:
- Acts as a resource to personnel in education of clinical procedures
- Collaborates with physicians and physician assistants to provide a process to promote and ensure employee orientation, competency and In service education programs.
- Acts as a clinical resource to personnel.
- Assists with patient visits as needed.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal and professional networks and participates in professional organizations or societies.
- Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of patients and ensures the needed documents are received and organized in the system.
- Works with the administrative team and Scheduling teams to ensure proper staff utilization.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential patients and staff
- Inventory, order and track supply orders for the office to ensure availability of sufficient inventory for clinicians.
- Communicates schedule and patient needs with triage and on-call staff.
- Prepares for, assures inventory for, and assists with in- office surgeries.
- Assists in scheduling, prior authorizations, preoperative and post operative patient communications for all in- office surgery patients.
- Manages and oversees all communication with equipment vendors and allied technical services.
- Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state
- Three (3) to five (5) year's clinical nursing experience. (An emphasis in surgical or ENT work is preferred).
- Excellent understanding of performance improvement, quality assurance, and utilization management.
- Is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Has excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager is responsible for assisting in day to day clinical operations for the office to ensure a seamless and organized clinic. The Clinical Manager maintains a comprehensive working knowledge to assist in training new clinical staff, and to serve as a resource for medical assistants.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Educates clinical staff from on boarding, orientation and initial training
B. Ensures initial competency as well as annual is completed accurately and timely within organization policy.
C. Provides direction and coordination of education in-services
D. Works in collaboration with medical assistants to assure clinical documentation is accurate and completed within a timely manner
E. Educates and implements monitoring activities for safety, risk management and infection control
F. Coordinates training for new hires; to include EMR training, orientation and clinical supplies.
G. Participates in annual review and goal setting for all clinical staff reports
A. Assists in the identification of skills for annual competence and provides In service training and support.
B. Maintains aggregate records of employee orientation and annual competency requirements as part of the PI plan.
A. Maintains updated nursing knowledge and skills.
