C2 Technologies, Inc. seeks a
Programmer/508 Compliance Tester
to **support the NAVAIRU contract in Patuxent River, Maryland. The position will include hybrid work based upon the customers' requirements.


Summary

  • Provide assistance and advice on information and communication technology (ICT) accessibility policies and helps ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act standards for persons with disabilities.
  • Perform complete audits and validation testing on software and documents, based upon Section 508 and/or W3C WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.
  • Provide testing, remediation, and compliance reports for webbased/multimedia content
  • Provide testing, remediation, and final assessable accessible electronic documents (Word, pdf, Power Point, Excel)
  • Use Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software (NVDA, JAWS), and Accessibility test tools.
  • Write detailed findings to document identified issues and recommend potential solutions and best practices for remediation of accessibility violations.

Requirements:


  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in a related field of study.
years of experience performing all functional duties independently.

  • Security clearance favorably adjudicated Tier3

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to test against, Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 requirements for IT software and hardware.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government accessibility testing.
  • Knowledge of HTML semantics/tagging, Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), hyperlink integrity, and remediation of Section 508 accessibility issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail for heavy documentation; verbal communication skills for training and development.
  • Experience working effectively with several clients or project teams simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
