POSITION:


The purpose of the Lead Pilates Instructor is to provide safe, effective group Pilates instruction in accordance with all Club Pilates guidelines and expectations.

The Lead Pilates Instructor is an exemplary example of this and ensures that all instructional staff within the studio is abiding by brand standards.

In addition to teaching, lead duties include mentorship, scheduling, workshops, and event planning with the management team.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 450hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
  • At least 2 years teaching groupbased Pilates
  • Deep understanding of the Club Pilates method
  • In depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studios
  • Demonstrate group Reformer instruction abilities, plus experience teaching 6+ participants in an apparatusbased group class
  • Maintain open availability for
    a minimum of 20 hours (5 shifts) per week, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Professional and effective communication skills, including public speaking and sales abilities
  • Up to date CPR training or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
  • Indepth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studios
  • Team player with a pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates
  • Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Exo-Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
  • Comfortable adding TRX, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities to teaching repertoire
  • Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars
  • Professional, neat, punctual and reliable
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and proactively communicate with management
  • Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment
  • Consistently uses excellent judgment and is a strong problem solver
  • Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality
  • Proficient in (or ability to become) ClubReady software for basic use
  • Ability to work harmoniously with the public, management, and instructors

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Help manage studio schedule and ensure class types, times, levels and instructor scheduled are ideal to maximize occupancy and client satisfaction
  • Teach at least 2 Intro classes per week
  • Manage sub requests and adjust schedule accordingly; able to step in lastminute if a shift needs coverage (or help find the coverage when not available)
  • Ensure that all images posted on social media sites reflect proper form and safety standards and are in alignment with Club Pilates standards
  • Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updates
  • Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
  • Track and review the other instructors for proficiency and performance monthly
  • Provide needed mentorship to instructors to ensure their teaching is up to Club Pilates standards
  • Provide Private Training Assessments as scheduled
  • Plan and provide monthly/quarterly member workshops
  • Plan and execute quarterly instructor workshops based on client feedback within the studio
  • Reach out to local fitness retailers and offer to teach in store to promote the studio and participate and plan/suggest other monthly grassroots events (46 per month in partnership with management)
  • Lead Teacher Training program with quarterly or biannual programs
  • Provide needed mentorship to teacher training students
  • Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
  • Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio management
  • Must arrive 15 min prior to the beginning of each sch
