full-time Data Scientist.
$130,000 to $190,000.

YOUR DAY AS A DATA SCIENTIST
As a Data Scientist, you work closely with the sponsor's technical lead to architect, deploy, and maintain multiple, fast-turnaround capabilities crucial for various highly visible and high-priority collection efforts.
Your responsibilities include coordinating with multiple entities, including mission partners, to ensure that capabilities and deliverables align with defined requirements and tradecraft needs.
You create and maintain collection capabilities and deliverables within the sponsor's Amazon Web Services environment and utilizing approved AWS services.
You must validate collected data to ensure it meets the required format standards.Additionally, you maintain all source code in the sponsor's GitHub repository, documenting each aspect of the source code, including instructions for execution.
Furthermore, you perform operations and maintenance on collection capabilities and deliverables, adapting them to changes in collection targets, technologies, data formats, and naming conventions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Shown capability with Python and/or R, SQL, and Tableau or equivalent
- Exhibited skill with geospatial software, programming packages, and data formats
- Experience in creating and managing AWS resources, including provisioning EC2 instances, writing and deploying Lambda functions, creating and writing to S3, and managing authorization appropriately across resources with IAM policies
- Documented success using GitHub
- Already possess a TS/SCI clearance w FS Poly
- Demonstrated experience building and programmatically working with and maintaining search engines such as ElasticSeach, Lucene, or AWS's OpenSearch
- Ability to create and programmatically work with and maintain SQL and NO-SQL databases
- Vast knowledge and experience with other nonAWS cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure
- AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator certifications
