Job Description

Teacher Active are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for our Client in Darlington.

You will work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

Ideally you will have experience of working in a catering environment and able to manage and prioritise a varied workload. A Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided.

Experience of working with vulnerable young people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, as you will be required to work with students under the supervision of the Cook and Teachers.

Main Duties to include:

Preparation of food and cooking;

Cleaning of food areas, including the kitchen, its surrounds and equipment;

The serving of meals ensuring presentation is to the required standard;

To ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times;

A flexible and professional approach to work is required.

The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills, be personal and friendly and willing to learn and develop
