    The Congenital Heart Center at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital is currently seeking a full time Patient Services Associate to support the Pediatric Cardiology Echocardiography lab and to provide administrative support to various clerical and medical staff to ensure an efficient and expedient experience for the patient and their family.

    • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for echocardiography lab testing (inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms).
    • Manage and monitor the flow of patients requiring an echocardiogram.
    • Process paperwork for echos including billing and outside echos
    • Telephone responsibilities: answer, screen, route and respond to inquiries via phone from referring physicians, patients, parents etc in a timely manner.
    • Communicate with billing department, clinic medical assistants, nursing, fellows and attendings.
    • Print orders from MiChart for all patients receiving an echocardiogram. Transcribe orders
    • Maintain office-filling system of all interoffice, incoming and outgoing correspondences
    • Maintain echo office supply stock.
    • Participate in the development of clinical goals and objectives by observing and recommending new or revised policies, procedures or methods.ECHO
    • Attend echo staff meetings.
    • Copy echo images to cd/dvd when requested
    • Cover all of the EKG lab clerical duties in the event of absence, lunch and breaks.
    • 2-3 years of experience
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Exemplary interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem solve and work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
    • Strong attention to detail, multitasking, accountability and follow through abilities.
    • Ability to work as part of a team but also able to take direction while successfully managing the clinic needs in a fast-paced environment.
    • Professional and positive image and attitude when interacting patients, faculty, and staff.
    • Responds positively to change, showing willingness to learn new ways to work.
    • Proficient in MiChart.

    Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM.
