POSITION SUMMARY:
Improve systems & equipment reliability in assigned process area, reduce system/equipment downtime associated with assigned process & support operations via mentoring

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on various equipment utilized in a GMP environmentMaintain written documentation of maintenance and repairs in accordance with Quality System requirementsAbility to ascend and descend a ladder.

Occasionally work at heights.

Maintain inventory of MRO parts...utilizing MRP systemSelf-starter that takes initiative to communicate and correct issuesCoordinate with outside vendors for repair/maintenance/installation of equipmentInterface with operations and engineering groups to implement projectsDemonstrates a desire to continuously improve and learn new skillPerform other duties as assignedAbility to read/write and comprehend EnglishEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHS Diploma or equivalentExperience2-3 years of experience performing general maintenance in a pharmaceutical / industrial environment.

Proficient in the use of hand tools associated with the tradeKnowledgeable in the following systems:
Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation, and the controls of such systems.

Knowledge & application of various troubleshooting strategiesKnowledgeable in the use and function of various diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, amp meters, gauges, and sensorsAbility & experience with automated records systems such as SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documentsOrganization/Planning, support, and coordination of planned & corrective maintenance activities to ensure successful process performanceDemonstrates a disciplined approach to problem solving that is based on data & facts which is consistent with vision, business goals, and valuesPrevious experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) work environmentUnderstands who the customer is (internal/external) and understands the customers' requirements, prioritizes work & develops processes to support the customer's needsAbility to quickly flex to changes in responsibilities & business needs with grace and easeDemonstrates behaviors consistent with "for me to win the team must win"Demonstrates a disciplined approach to problem solving that is based on data and factsOwns the results of individual actions and team's activities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift lbs regularly, climb stairs and ladders, and work indoors or outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.
Ability to work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends); may be required to work 1st or 2nd shifts.
Ability to work occasionally in high stress situations with general supervision.
Demonstrated safety record while working in and around energized facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Occasionally work in hot or cold environment.
