Accounting Assistant - Hagerstown, United States - MTAC Security

Description

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor/customer correspondence
• Reconcile account statements
• Create and disburse checks
• Balance statements and finalize data
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments, resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records relating to bookkeeping, accounts receivable, recording revenue, and other functions within the finance department

• Experience using ERP Software and payroll platforms
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Selfstarter who can work both independently and with a team
• College coursework in Accounting or related field preferred
• Preferred AR/AP experience in the service industry
• Knowledge of current, proper bookkeeping practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
