    Job Goal: To register and withdraw students, to keep student permanent files updated with testing results and grades. To assist counselors, administrators, teachers and parents.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Register new students and transfer students.

    2. Withdraw students and maintain withdrawal records.

    3. Serve as personal and correspondence secretary for counselors.

    4. Assist with master scheduling responsibilities.

    5. Responsible for multiple reports to administrators, counselors, teachers, state agencies and local board of education office.

    6. Grades for 6, 7, and 8th, Grade Scan Sheets, Grade Verification Reports, Report card distribution, maintain all grades on permanent files and computer.

    7. Computer updating of residential changes and student vital information.

    8. Maintain all testing labels on permanent files.

    9. Receive and mail transcript requests.

    10. Schedule parent teacher conferences.

    11. Assist with the schedule for the six year plan.

    Discretionary Job Functions (Assists on an as needed basis):
    1. Locker book maintenance.
    2. Medication dispensing; maintain medication authorization files, and basic first aid.
    3. Receive visitors and assist with telephones.
    4. Assist with free and reduced lunch applications.
    5. Maintains school inventory.
    6. Supervise student phone.
    7. Compile homework assignments as requested.
    8. Maintains back-up on administrative computer systems.
    9. Clerical duties as requested by the administration.
    10. Sort and distribute inter-office and U.S. mail.
    11. Compile weekly T.O.P.S. list.
    12. Monitor students sent from class for discipline.
    13. Compiling requested grade checks on students.
    14. Maintain student insurance and accident report files.
    15. Maintain long distance telephone records.
    16. Copy machine maintenance.
    17. Compiles OSSAA Eligibility.
    18. Instructional fund requisitions, textbook orders and furniture orders.
    19. Other duties may be assigned.
    Length of Contract: Two hundred twenty (220) contract days.
    Salary commensurate with experience on the negotiated agreement of the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).

    Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies, state law, and the negotiated agreement with the Support Employees of Edmond (SEE).

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
    Student Assistants.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    None required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.

    REASONING SKILLS:
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
