Diversified CPC International, Inc., an ISO 9000 Certified Company, has an immediate need for an
Analytical Chemist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform analytical chemistry assays based on new and existing methodologies.
- Operate analytical instrumentation such as Gas Chromatograhy, Electronic Hygrometer, Titrator, Rateometric Colorimetry, Sulfur and Mercury Analyzer.
- Ensure all laboratory instruments and maintained and in good working condition.
- Develop, establish, and validate analytical testing methodology used to control raw materials, production intermediates, and final products.
- Write technical reports to document analytical methods.
- Transfer documented analytical methods to the QC department.
- Set up new or existing analytical methods for identifying compounds.
- Coordinate offsite testing as necessary.
- Conduct testing of analytical samples for Production.
- Develop and conduct customer commercial presentations in support of Diversified CPC sales and marketing efforts.
- Explore new ways of promoting existing products and services.
- Technical training.
- Support development and implementation of work processes that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 or 4year degree with focus in Chemistry or another related field.
- 2 years industry experience.
- Specialized training for GC, GC/MS, Sulfur and Mercury Analyzer preferred.
- Chemical/refinery background a plus
- Aerosol background a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite or related software.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to function well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Good vision and hearing, good sense of smell
- Able to bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance, ability to lift 50 pounds dead weight.
- Advanced computer skills. Excellent math, reading, and writing comprehension skills.
- Good telephone communication skills.
- Understands applicable codes and regulations.
- Willing to travel (less than 10% of the time).
