    Job Summary


    Provide leadership and direction to assigned Business System analysts to assure that goals and standards of all areas are being met.

    Responsible for providing leadership support for multiple projects and production deployments of low to high complexity. Responsible to coordinate the development and implementation of programs and strategies to improve organizational processes and service. Provide technical and analytical support to specific departmental and corporate initiatives.

    Responsible for supporting multiple complex projects by leading teams in researching and analyzing business requirements and prototyping system capabilities to identify and build system solutions.

    Plan, monitor and track the enterprise operational department's overall work intake and project efforts.

    Have a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical systems and industry requirements, formulates and defines large and/or complex systems scopes and objectives.

    Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering software applications, capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results.

    Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Participates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation procedures.

    Provides technical project management, often leading work on new implementations and upgrades of related systems and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

    Documents and drives best system implementation practices throughout the system. Demonstrated ability to successfully define an approach including business requirement gathering, prioritization, testing, documentation and training.

    Essential Functions

    Management Responsibilities (Strategic): Contributes to the overall management strategies of the department. Responds to the needs of the department and its team members.

    Aware of the implications of applying new/differing technology to the current business environment, along with an understanding of relevant business or clinical systems and industry requirements, leads the use of research and analysis to define large and/or complex systems scopes and objectives for developing new, or improving existing, information systems.

    Work with business, configuration and developers to translate and document business and technical requirements. Interpret, analyze and develop system solutions from business requirements and lead the planning and implementation effort.

    Develop and improve work flows and business processes within defined areas to improve customer service and improve overall quality and cost efficiency.

    Identify and/or analyze business problems and devise procedures for solutions.
    Collaborates with other managers, supervisors and team members to solve technical and personnel issues. Clarifies direction provided by senior management. Recommends policy changes to improve department. Works closely with other supervisors and managers to assure proper alignment with long term team, department and corporate goals. Responsible for the technical and interpersonal performance of individual team members.
    Management Responsibilities (Day to Day): Effectively leads the day-to-day running of configuration areas including turnaround times and quality standards.

    Effectively and actively works within the Business Analytics Team to allow for the free flow of ides in an open atmosphere.

    Represents team in meetings and projects as requested by management.

    Develops, implement and maintain performance tracking and trending tools to allow for daily monitoring of team's performance level for all functions.

    Identifies training needs within teams and develops appropriate action plans. Effectively lead projects, teams or workgroups in order to produce desired results. Document and communicate project concepts, milestones and results. Recommend and assist with implementing existing and new policies and procedures.

    Ensure that solution is fully integrated across the software application as well as any downstream solutions reliant upon the data configuration.

    Coordinates with key staff members to obtain business requirements, while simultaneously monitoring responses and deadlines. Partner with business and IT to deliver enhancements and defect updates provided by the software vendor.

    Project Management:

    Provides project and program management expertise and support to capital and strategic initiatives, promotes and develops these capabilities within members of assigned teams.

    Participates to ensure successful delivery of a wide range of small/medium large and enterprise wide projects and programs. Participate in the Process Improvement Planning (PIP). Participate in PMO resourcing and planning meetings. Effectively develop, prioritize and implement project plans as assigned by management. Communicate project goals in a clear an timely manner. Give input and sets priorities on a small, medium and large scale. Identify, secure and coordinate BSA department resources.

    Qualifications

    Required

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Health Care related field
    5 years of relevant experience leading teams in use/configuration/maintenance/testing of FACETS software (or comparable healthcare payer business system)

    Experience with FACETS Software preferably in one or more of the following areas:
    Pricing configuration/maintenance, Provider configuration/maintenance, Product configuration/maintenance, Group Administration configuration/maintenance, Enrollment maintenance, Claims

    Leadership and/or analyst experience required with demonstrated experience in operational analysis, data analysis, and problem resolution type projects and activities.

    7 years of relevant experience formulating and documenting functional and system requirements. Provide expert system consultation that supports solutions.
    Experience reporting metrics and create project dashboards.
    Background in health care, sciences or information systems

    Preferred

    Experience in systems development lifecycle including, requirements gathering and design
    Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
    Symplr payer experience
    Salesforce experience
    Workday experience
    Service Now and/or Jira experience
