Full-Time Dispatcher

Job Overview:


Responsibilities:

Dispatching Services: Coordinate transportation services for clients requiring non-emergency medical transportation, including scheduling pick-up and drop-off times, assigning drivers, and optimizing routes for efficiency.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, drivers, and healthcare providers, maintaining clear and timely communication regarding transportation arrangements, changes, and updates.

Monitoring and Tracking: Monitor transportation activities in real-time, tracking the status of trips, ensuring adherence to schedules, and addressing any delays or issues promptly.

Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve transportation-related problems, such as route deviations, driver issues, or client concerns, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation requests, trip details, client information, and driver assignments, utilizing computerized systems and databases.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to non-emergency medical transportation, including safety standards, confidentiality, and service quality.

Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic evaluations of transportation services to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining positive relationships to enhance overall satisfaction.


Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or customer service, preferably in the healthcare or transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Problemsolving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and transportation regulations is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, healthcare administration, or a related field is advantageous.

Working Conditions:


  • This position typically operates in an office environment, utilizing computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
  • May require occasional work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate client needs and operational requirements.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands as needed.
