    Senior Azure & On Prem MS SQL DatabaseAdministrator will be responsible for the management of production andnon-production databases; database maintenance activities; troubleshootingdatabase-related issues; monitoring of database capacity and performance;installation, administration, and configuration of databaseserver/instances/databases; installation and configuration of SSRS, and PowerBi RS; Support release/code deployment activities (SSIS Packages, SSRS reports,SQL objects etc).

    Essential Functions:

    Conduct thefollowing for Azure SQL/Azure SQL MI/SQL on Azure VM, On Prem SQL Server, SSRS,Power Bi RS, SSIS, Azure Synapse and other related products as applicable andnecessary.

    Install/Configure/Setup/Administer and Maintain production and non-productionenvironments.

    SetupHigh-Availability and Disaster Recovery.

    Plan and testhigh availability and disaster recovery.

    Create Users andassign/manage permissions based on the level of access the user would need;ensure robust and full proof security of assets.

    Resolve databaseintegrity, performance, blocking, connectivity, and replication issues.

    Detect andresolve database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other contentionissues.

    Perform andmanage Database backup/recovery/restore and capacity monitoring.

    Synapse workloadmanagement and optimization.

    Setup SQL agentjobs, elastic jobs, and runbook automation.

    Identify andsetup alerts and logging in Azure.

    Maintaindatabases Statistics, Indexes, fragmentation.

    Upgrade andmaintain SQL Server and related software (apply patches and updates whennecessary).

    Coordinateremoval and/or archiving of data that is no longer required to be available inthe production databases.

    Deploy andconfigure SSIS packages and SSRS and Power Bi RS Reports. Troubleshoot issueswith SSRS, Power Bi RS, and SSIS.
