South Coast is looking for an entry level Account Receivable Clerk for a 6 month job assignment. Perfect opportunity for an accounting student who is looking to gain experience in the accounting field.

JOB SUMMARY:

Communicate with all customers to ensure timely receipt of all outstanding invoices.

Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitoring customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Perform credit checks & references on potential new customers.
  • Collections Courtesy Calls
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries.
  • Review weekly billing and mail out invoices
  • Project weekly cash collections
  • Perform daily deposit transaction to the bank
  • Review accounts receivable aging and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Track city business licenses.
  • Request and send certificates of insurance.
  • Update customer online portals and profiles.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:


  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • 1 year accounts receivable experience required
  • Experience filing mechanic's liens
