The Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI) is currently seeking a referent to support the Managing Director and Administrative Director of HIRI.

Our institute strives to be a world leader in research, with outstanding publications, cutting-edge experimental and digital technologies, a high rate of external funding, and prestigious awards.


Responsibilities:

As a referent, you will be responsible for supporting our globally connected research environment and excellent administrative services.

You will assist the institute's leadership with important strategic and operational projects and processes, help establish and maintain collaborations, and coordinate internal committees and boards.

Your main task will be to use your expertise in the life sciences to develop concepts, proposals, and evaluations. You may also assist with the preparation and follow-up of events, presentations, and meetings as needed.


Requirements:


  • University degree in life sciences or biomedicine; PhD or several years of experience as a referent
  • Strong interest in and enthusiasm for HIRI's research topics
  • Good knowledge of processes and structures in research institutes and universities
  • Quick comprehension and willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics
  • Experience in scientific or administrative project management
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills
  • Proficiency in common IT environments and programs
  • Excellent communication skills and resultsoriented work style
