Labor Solutions has gained partnerships with multiple industrial manufacturing companies that need our assistance to help with hiring for their job opportunities.
As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving industrial processes utilizing lean manufacturing practices in our custom metal fabrication and manufacturing environment.
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be the person creating concepts and driving change.Responsibilities Include:
Drive cost savings through Lean Manufacturing processes such as Six Sigma methodology and Kaizen and various process improvement tactics.
Analyze and evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify gaps in our production process and develop solutions to optimize our manufacturing process.
Assess compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards, report/document, and propose solutions as appropriate.Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions through performing process simulations, risk assessment, and testing to eliminate time and cost constraints.
Estimating production costsAssist in designing and planning equipment layout
Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in
Industrial/Manufacturing
Engineering or related field or 5+ years of experience working as a Manufacturing Process Engineer
2+ years of experience working in a metal fabrication environment
Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred)
Experience with process simulations and developing standard operating procedures
Skilled at utilizing CAD and AutoCAD software
The position requires excellent analytical and math skills
Must have strong project management and analytical thinking skills
Key Information:
Salary is negotiable based on experience, please include salary expectations when submitting your application
This position is 100% onsite at our manufacturing plant in Racine, WI, and is not a remote work opportunity
